Who is Planet Sutherland?
We are a welcoming group of folks who are simply aiming to create a more resilient, just and sustainable future. We do this via community based projects and initiatives that help us all to make changes to reduce our impact. Of course it's hard. However, we’ve found that working together and – doing stuff – really helps. Most importantly, having some fun and supporting each other leads to a happier and less stressed life.

Working Together:
We simply can't fix this problem by locking ourselves away and hoping for the best. Let's get out there. Talk to folks. Link up with groups that are doing stuff like mending, recycling, cooking, growing, making, cycling, walking, getting fit, enjoying music and the arts.... so many to chose from.
Food:
Eat Real Food. Buy Local. Cook Together. Eat Together. Grow your own. Start a community garden or simply talk about growing food with a friend or neighbour.
Resources:
We're living in a finite world. We've used up a whole lot of stuff and created a whole lot more. Make the best of resources - all the plastic, wood, cars, food, compost, bikes, buildings. soil! Let's reduce or remove what we don't need so much in our lives, regenerate what we have and support businesses that do likewise.
Education:
There are so many lies and deceptions out there. Don't be diverted. There are some good climate resources here - but please share new finds on our Facebook Group too. It's not just about climate education - your personal resilience will grow when you learn something new.
Supporting Each Other:
Let's Talk. Let's Hug. Let's celebrate together. Talking, listening and learning and laughing together helps to mend and support our minds.
